This model replaced the very similar RG270R as well as a previous model with a maple fretboard. This model was made in Korea.
Upgraded Pickups, middle picked is just cosmetic.
The RG270 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components include a single locking tremolo bridge and Ibanez Powersound pickups. For 2002 the SLT101 single-locking tremolo was replaced by a ILT1 double locking tremolo.
This Korean-made version has a different bridge, nut, tuners and hardware color than the Japanese-made version, but is otherwise similar.
